Combined Federal Campaign

Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association
CFC# 74167

“…first in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen…”

George Washington’s Mount Vernon, owned and operated by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, is pleased to announce that the Combined Federal Campaign for charitable giving has approved Mount Vernon’s application. We can be found in the directory of approved charities and our Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) number is 74167.

Through George Washington’s historic home, final resting place, the still-new and state-of-the-art Ford Orientation Center and Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center, and the many educational programs and events we host each year, Mount Vernon tells the story of one man’s life and our nation’s birth.

Mount Vernon takes visitors back to our nation’s historic Founding and provides an intimate view of the extraordinary leader and patriot who led us to freedom and democracy – George Washington. In the process, we demonstrate how the actions of one person can change the world so that others – most importantly, future generations – may be informed and inspired.

The Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association holds the Mount Vernon estate in trust for the American people.

  • It receives no funding from federal or state governments.
  • It is not a national park or monument.
  • We rely solely on the generosity of caring people to whatever degree they are able.
